Heartfelt, honest, and hopeful - with a little humor

Stories

Escape is possible, and authentic characters don’t have to be sacrificed.

You sit down after a long day, and open a new book, ready to escape into a different world, to make new friends, and to find a bit of encouragement. You start turning the pages. One chapter goes by, then another. But then you get to that point. Something throws you out of the story. A character makes a foolish decision that doesn’t align with their personality. A line reminds you of a modern political issue. The story turns dark, with no pinhole of light to guide you out of it. Are there any books that can be relatable and encouraging at the same time?
